Telephoning Your Doctor

To maintain our high standard of care, patient confidentiality and Medico-Legal reasons, we recommend that you make an appointment to discuss your results from pathology testing, X-ray investigations, issue of prescriptions and referrals to specialists.

Recall System

At our medical practice, we are committed to preventive care treatment. We may ring you with reminders from time to time offering you preventive health services or follow-up appointments. If you do not wish to be part of this arrangement, please inform our reception staff. In case we need to review non-urgent abnormal test results, we will advise you by SMS. For review of urgent cases, we will contact you by phone so that an appointment can be made.

National Privacy Principles

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorized members of staff.

Electronic Communication Policy

Results and reports can be sent to patients by email only after the patient’s consultation either in person or via telehealth over the phone, with the doctor for these results. Consent is sought from patients who request results to be sent by email.

Repeat Prescriptions and Referrals

Prescriptions and referrals will not be available without an appointment to avoid error and confusion. The appointments can be in person or via telehealth over the phone. Referrals will be given at the time of the appointment or can be faxed/emailed to the specialist/patient after the appointment.

Our medical practice is a smoke free zone. We would also request all visitors to turn off their mobile phones whilst in the surgery.
